Early-stage venture investing is what we like to do. And we're good at it. The team at Opus Capital has been active in the seed and Series A funding of technology companies for more than 20 years, having invested in such companies as Airgate PCS, EFI, Galileo and Harmonic at their very early stages.
Opus Capital was founded with a primary focus on early-stage funding, with the objective of investing in committed, high integrity entrepreneurs who have a passion for their pursuit. For more information on our investment strategy and the sectors in which we invest, click here.
Entrepreneurs interested in potentially working with Opus Capital should be prepared to submit a business plan, or at least an executive summary about the business. If a general partner is interested in hearing more, the entrepreneur will meet with one or two partners as a first step. What we are interested in learning about at this stage is:
Following this meeting, we will discuss and evaluate the opportunity internally, and if interested, will begin due diligence. Opus Capital's investment process with prospective portfolio companies includes the assignment of a two-person team to perform the due diligence. Our proven process has been refined over the last 30 years to efficiently gather the information we need to make informed decisions, without burdening entrepreneurs.
Following due diligence, we will determine whether there is interest in moving forward, and if so, will work with the prospective portfolio company's team to develop investment terms for the transaction. When needed, Opus Capital will also assist the company in finding a secondary venture investment partner from its strong network of top tier firms.
The best way to begin a dialogue with Opus Capital is by contacting the general partner with the expertise that most closely matches your company's sector. Or, send your business plan or executive summary to: info@opuscapital.com.
