Gill Cogan is a founding partner of Opus Capital, bringing more than 20 years of venture capital investing experience as well as experience building and leading venture capital firms. Gill is also a founding General Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners and continues to serve as Managing Partner of the Weiss, Peck & Greer Venture Partners Funds. Prior to joining Weiss, Peck & Greer Venture Partners in 1990, Gill managed the West Coast venture capital operations of Adler & Company. In 1985, he was one of three general partners who formed the first independent Israeli venture fund.

Gill's operating experience includes his tenure as CEO of Formtek, Inc. — a systems company based on technology developed at Carnegie Mellon University — which was subsequently acquired by Lockheed Corporation.

Gill holds an MBA from UCLA.
